Miscela Masini has a long history spanning two generations and the experience of a family dedicated to the art of making coffee and of many expert professionals, who have created the history of this sector. Today Miscela Masini is the showpiece of Essse Caffè, but its success is the result of more than 70 years of commitment and dedication.
Miscela Masini was born in 1952 from an idea of Giampiero Segafredo and from the hands of his capable coffee roaster, Berto. This prized blend was planned and brought to reality specifically to celebrate the inauguration of two important locations in Bologna’s center, belonging, appropriately to Mr. Masini.
In 1979, nearly 30 years later, Francesco Segafredo, son of Giampiero, had the idea of recreating Miscela Masini for the newly established Essse Caffè. To do so, he sought out Berto, the coffee roaster who worked for Giampiero, a man of great experience and sensibility, who helped Francesco to recreate this special blend, in fact, Berto communicated to Francesco the secrets which give life to this excellent product. Once the original Miscela Masini was re-created, also thanks to the collaboration with the University of Bologna, this blend was obtained, which is excellent not only for the organoleptic characteristics, but also for the continuity of process.

For these reasons, Masini is not just a Blend, but truly a world of its own: a world of the best quality in the cup, a world of sensorial experiences, of enhancing the image of the espresso bar. Miscela Masini is an espresso which is qualified to be a Certified Italian Espresso. Produced with the most prized Arabica and Robusta coffee beans, it yields a delicate and aromatic espresso which is at the same time full-bodied and chocolatey, with its velvet cream and its notes of fruit and flowers.
